What do you most dislike about your appearance?
Joan answered:
I’m too short: I’m 5 feet 3½ inches. I have shrunk. I used to be 5 feet 5½ inches.
Her answer is clear, concise, and precise, and from what little we have Joan we think she is just as tall as she claims to be.
Height loss happens with aging, mainly due to the compression and dehydration of the spinal discs. Taller people are more prone to it due to having a longer spine, but sometimes it happens to shorter ones too.
