Mexican-American actress and businesswoman, Salma Hayek is rose to international prominence in the 1990s and has since become one of the most successful and influential actresses in Hollywood.

Hayek began her acting career in Mexico, starring in telenovelas (Spanish-language soap operas) before transitioning to Hollywood. She gained widespread recognition for her performance in the 1995 film "Desperado," where she starred alongside Antonio Banderas. However, it was her role as Frida Kahlo in the biopic "Frida" (2002) that earned her critical acclaim and nominations for several awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actress.
