John Cleese Height

Creativity is not the possession of some special talent. It’s about the willingness to play.

About John Cleese's Height

Anyone who has seen John Cleese in one of his movies knows that he is tall -- John has that tall look that most men covet. But how tall is he exactly?

An X user named Redemption80 asked about John's height:

Google saying you are both 1.96m (whatever that is) Is that accurate?

John Cleese replied:

No, I'm 1.93. That's 6 foot four and a half inches- the height I was when I was 14 !! It was hard to fade into the background...

Of course, all men remember the feeling of wanting to fade into the background as boys in school.

Anyway, from what we have seen of John Cleese, we think there is a good chance that he was indeed 6 feet 5 inches (196 cm) tall in his youth. People do grow after 14 and most grow a lot after that age.

Though now in his mid-80s John is definitely shorter than he used to be. People lose height as they age -- mainly because of dehydration and compression of the spine -- and tall people get the worst of it because of having more space to compress in their spine.

The height of John Cleese in his prime was

6 ft 5 in (195.5 cm)

Political correctness is a bit like a granny, a maiden aunt arriving at a party when everyone's having a good time. And she comes in, they all start sort of buttoning up and becoming self-conscious and behaving properly, and then when she leaves, you can have fun again.
