Cary Grant Height

Everyone wants to be Cary Grant. Even I want to be Cary Grant.

~ Cary Grant

Famous English-American actor, Cary Grant was one of classic Hollywood's biggest leading men. He was named by the American Film Institute as the second greatest male star of the Golden Age of Hollywood.

In movies, he was known for his Mid-Atlantic accent, debonair demeanor, light-hearted approach to acting, and sense of comic timing.

About Cary Grant's Real Height

Cary Grant was tall and always looked so on screen -- he towered over almost every actor he appeared with.

Cary is thought to be anywhere from 6'½" to 6'2" tall. On IMDb, his height is listed as 6'½" but in most of his biographies, it is 6'1½".

In the book Evenings With Cary Grant: Recollections in His Own Words and by Those Who Knew Him Best by Nancy Nelson, Cary Grant had a comment on his height:

I was six feet one and a half inches, but I'm shrinking.

Height loss happens with age. It happens mostly due to compression and dehydration of the spinal discs. One can do little about these things.

Anyway, from what we have seen of Cary Grant in his movies, we think he could have been as tall as he claimed, especially early in his career. He looked very similar in height to someone like Henry Fonda who was 6'1.5" as well -- or perhaps Fonda was slightly taller than him -- it is difficult to say so with certainty.

The real height of Cary Grant was

6 ft 1 in (185 cm)

My formula for life is very simple: in the morning, wake up; at night, go to sleep. In between I try and occupy myself as best I can.
