Jimmy Carter Height

The measure of a society is found in how they treat their weakest and most helpless citizens.

Jimmy Carter served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981.

About Jimmy Carter's Real Height

Jimmy Carter was of average height but kind of short for a modern president of the United States. His official height, as on POTUS.com and Wikipedia is 5 feet 9½ inches.

But Alas, people are rarely as tall as their Official heights. Donald Trump's height is also listed as 6 feet 3 inches. He was never as tall. In his prime, he was 6 feet 2 inches tall and in his first term as president, he looked almost identical in height to Barack Obama who is 6 feet 1 inch tall.

It might even be possible that now in his mid-70s, Trump is just 6 feet tall -- as taller people do lose height faster than the shorter ones with age (due to more space for compression between their spinal discs).

Anyway, Jimmy Carter gave the impression of being taller than 5'9" because he was so thin and always had decent posture. But from what we have seen of him, we think he might just have been 5'9" in his prime.

This makes Jimmy Carter around 2 inches shorter than John F. Kennedy and around 7 inches shorter than the tallest US president -- Abraham Lincoln.

The height of Jimmy Carter in his prime was

5 ft 9¼ in (175.5 cm)

Jimmy Carter with his wife Rosalynn Carter, reportedly 5 ft 4 in tall. She looks a lot taller in this photo -- probably due to high heels.

I have one life and one chance to make it count for something... My faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can with whatever I have to try to make a difference.
