Shaun White Height

Surfers have the most attitude.

~ Shaun White

American former professional snowboarder and skateboarder. He is a five-time Olympian and a three-time Olympic gold medalist in half-pipe snowboarding. He holds the world record for the most X Games gold medals and most Olympic gold medals by a snowboarder.

Does height affect skateboarding?

All experts agree that being short and skinny is beneficial in skateboarding. For skaters who are taller or heavier than average, skateboarding may be a bit harder to master as the athlete's center of gravity is much higher and the force required for movement is much greater than that of smaller and skinnier skates. So Shaun White has a good height for skateboarding. Here is what Shaun White says about his size:

It was hard to find a board my size. I was tiny.

We are sure he grew up after that because his height is listed as either 5'8" or 5'9" all over the internet (one website even listed him at 6", lol). From what we have seen of Shaun, the 5'8" listing seems more reliable. BTW, Shaun White's normal weight is 154 lb (70 kg).

The height of Shaun White is

5'8" or 173 cm

Shaun White has a way of skateboarding. Here are some of his quotes:

Shaun White on video games.

There are plenty of skills I've learned from playing video games. It's more interactive than watching TV because there are problems to solve as you're using your brain.

Skateboarding helps a ton with balance, precision, with air awareness... it gets your senses to be spot-on and it's also a great way to take my mind off things.

Shaun White loves steaks.

I usually eat a pretty big steak the night before I compete.

Shaun White on dusting yourself off and getting up.

You take a crash, you get back up and next time you succeed and that's a great feeling.

Shaun White on training.

Skateboarding is training, but I don't think of it as training. It's fun.

Shaun White on feeling pressure.

I don't know, I think, in times when I'm really nervous, and I'm really under the pressure the worst possible outcome is for me to start thinking about it. I just do.

Shaun White loves Chinese food and so do we all.

I can't stay away from Chinese food. I really love that stuff.

I think everybody can agree that you can hear a certain song and it will put you in a certain mood, and that's just the beauty of music and I am so inspired by that.

Shaun White on his inner fire.

Every time I've had a bad performance at an event, I've come back more determined and focused.

Shaun White on how he started snowboarding.

We all started snowboarding in the beginning as a family just to be closer together, go on trips. It was our soccer, but instead of Dad yelling at me from the sideline he is there riding with me and hitting the jumps even before I hit them.

Shaun White on snowboarding.

When you think about it, we're strapping strange planks of wood to our feet and launching off of giant snow walls. It's pretty intense.

Shaun White on living with his family.

My friends ask me why I still live with my family, but I feel comfortable there. We've all been through so much together.

Shaun White on money vs parents.

I remember thinking that I'd way rather give my parents my money, and not have to like have them go to work anymore, you know what I mean. Because I'd way rather spend more time with them.

Shaun White skates better than he walks.

I trip walking down the stairs, but I can probably skate them.

Shaun White what kind of workout he does.

The boarding I do is pretty strenuous and because I'm so active I really don't have to work out too often.

Shaun White on standing up for skateboarding.

I've got to stand up for the sport.

Shaun White on guitars.

I think the guitar is the best thing in the world.

Shaun White on his humble beginnings.

My mom was a waitress, and my dad was a plumber who worked for the City of San Clemente fixing mains breaks, so not too glamorous.

Shaun White keeps practicing.

I'm just going to keep dialing it in and keep practicing.

At least Shaun White admits it -- most don't.

I was a monster, a problem child.

Shaun White on his childhood.

When I was 12 years old, I was hanging out with 23-year-olds. I was into cartoons and Pokemon, and they're all talking about girls. It was a strange way to grow up.

Shaun White was on another level.

I can kind of picture what I want to do and my body just does it. You feel your way through a trick. I close my eyes sometimes.

Shaun White is a magnet for girls.

I get e-mails from mothers asking me to call their daughters for a date. I have a great life.
