Marilyn Monroe Height

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

~ Marilyn Monroe

There are many people in the world who can be described as gorgeous, but if anyone really did the word "gorgeous" justice -- Marilyn did. She was one of the most beautiful women of her time, a real heartthrob, who ruled the hearts of millions of men (and quite a few women).

Marilyn was tall for her time as well, even if she did not look so. Just looking at Marilyn one would assume she was 5'2" or something. For some reason, Marilyn just gave the aura of a tiny beautiful blonde. But she was not so small, in her own words:

I was pretty tall. At the orphanage, the first day, they didn't believe me when I said I was nine years old. They thought I was fourteen. I was almost as tall as I am now - five feet six inches.

But did Marilyn look that tall -- she did look kind of tallish if you looked at her carefully.

Marilyn Monroe's height is actually quite well-documented. These documents verify Marilyn’s height and weight at several different times, the first being her first modeling contract verifies her measurements as well:

Date: August 2, 1945

Blue Book Modeling Agency

Height: 5’6” (167.5 cm) Weight: 120 lb (54.5 kg)

Measurements: 36-24-34

Size: 12

Date: February 8, 1954

In her Department of Defense ID card

Height: 5'5½" (166.4 cm) Weight: 118lb (53.5 kg).

Date: August 5, 1962

LA Coroner Medical Report

Height: 5’5½” (166.5 cm), 117 lb (53 kg)

In 1940 when the average height of men in the US was 5 ft 8 in, Marilyn was 5'5½", so by today's equivalent, she would have been at least 5 ft 8 in tall -- quite a tall lady.

The real height of Marilyn Monroe was

5'5¾" or 167 cm

Marilyn Monroe was as beautiful as she was wise, here are some amazing quotes from her:

Marilyn Monroe on negative people.

Cutting negative people from my life does not mean I hate them, it simply means I respect myself.

Marilyn Monroe on her imperfections.

I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Marilyn Monroe on life.

Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.

Marilyn Monroe on limits.

The sky is not the limit. Your mind is.

Marilyn Monroe on failing and getting up again.

Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.

Marilyn Monroe

Never regret anything because at one time it was exactly what you wanted.

Marilyn Monroe

The more I think of it, the more I realize there are no answers. Life is to be lived.

Marilyn Monroe on forgiving people.

I don't forgive people because I'm weak, I forgive them because I am strong enough to know people make mistakes.

Marilyn Monroe on beauty, genius, and being ridiculous.

Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.

Marilyn Monroe on fear and regrets.

Fear is stupid. So are regrets.

Marilyn Monroe on strong men.

A strong man doesn't have to be dominant toward a woman. He doesn't match his strength against a woman weak with love for him. He matches it against the world.

Rules weren't for Marilyn.

If I'd observed all the rules, I'd never have got anywhere.

Marilyn Monroe on a girl's limits.

A wise girl knows her limits, a smart girl knows that she has none.

Marilyn Monroe on promises.

Promises are worse than lies. You don't just make them believe, you also make them hope.

Marilyn Monroe on good things falling apart.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things could fall together.

Marilyn Monroe on a real lover.

The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space.

True words from Marilyn.

If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything.

Marilyn Monroe on society passing judgment.

To all the girls that think you’re fat because you’re not a size zero, you’re the beautiful one, its society who’s ugly.

Marilyn Monroe on grinding it out.

Don't stop when you're tired; stop when you're done.

Marilyn Monroe on success.

I live to succeed, not to please you or anyone else.

Marilyn Monroe on saying sorry.

Too often they don't realize what they have until it's gone. ...they're too stubborn to say, 'Sorry, I was wrong' they hurt the ones closest to their hearts, and we let the most foolish things tear us apart.

Marilyn Monroe on life.

This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth.

Rest in peace, you are remembered.
