One of the greatest rappers of all time, Earl Simmons aka DMX (Dark Man X) is remembered for his hit and memorable songs such as "Party Up (Up in Here)", "Where the Hood At?", "X Gon' Give It to Ya" and many more.
IMDB lists DMX's height at 5'11" (180 cm) - his arrest report listed him at 6". Whom to trust? Surely the officers who do such a good job of maintaining law and order would do a better job of measuring a person? Not so fast.
Mugshot heights are notoriously incorrect. They almost always make a person much taller than they really are. Because the farther you are away from the height background chart background, the bigger you would seem, and nobody actually stands with their back touching the wall. So there is that, but this doesn't mean that the IMDb height is the correct one (it rarely is).
After looking at him and comparing him to people like Method Man (6'3"), Steven Seagal (6'4"), and some more we think DMX was 5'10" - around the same height as Mike Tyson. Though his posture wasn't the greatest of all time - so at times he looked shorter. His arrest report listed his weight at 160 lb (72.5 kg) - which is probably correct.
