The casting of A Game of Thrones was near perfect. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jamie Lannister was no exception. He matched the book's description so much... good-looking, with a sardonic smile on his face and very unpredictable to boot. Even his height is where we think Jamie Lannister would be - we think so, even if there was not an exact measurement of Mr. Lannister in the books - just that he was tall.
Mr. Coster-Waldau is tall as well. He is listed at 6'2" at various sites on the internet but Nikolaj himself claimed to be 6'1.5" - which seems a very honest claim for a celebrity about their real height - and this makes him about two inches shorter than Brienne of Tarth. Kudos to him, our job just got easier!
