Then Ryan tries to measure himself by holding the tape in front of him. We don't see the top or bottom of the tape but a person off-screen proclaims that Ryan is somewhere between 5'9" and 5'10".
But Ryan should not have gotten his hopes that much up, because in a moment the person claims that it is 5'9".
Was that unexpected? Well, Ryan was about to get another nasty surprise. The person then claims that Ryan is definitely 5'8" -- to the wild laughter of the three women.
To say that the measurement was bungled would be the understatement of the century.
That's why we decided to take the matter into our own hands. After comparing his height to that of people like Ellen DeGeneres (5'7" in her prime), James McAvoy (5'7"), and Justin Bieber (5'7½"), now we think that Ryan is definitely in the 5'8" neighborhood but in the southern end of it.
